Cervelos 3rd generation gravel racing bike focuses on ultra-endurance distance (100mi +) events. This project was challenging for its numerous component features requiring the invention of multiple accessories that would aid the user during multi-day events. We worked as a design team of three, splitting the bike into its major development parts: Cockpit, Frameset, Wheelset.
I was responsible for generating final surface cad and design for the complete Frameset and light mounting accessories. The design objective was to acheive a featherweight frame that maximized stiffness leading to reinforced tubes where strength mattered juxtaposed by strikingly svelte tubes reduced to the minimum manufacturable dimensions.
