HELLO! 안녕하세요!
I am an Industrial Designer with 10 years of experience in developing home automation hardware for businesses, start-ups to enterprise in scale. I gravitate towards solutions that telegraph their definition and function while maintaining a design intent that’s quantifiably efficient to produce.

Also, I’m always happy to just meet for a bike ride.

anything worth doing is worth doing poorly

If mistakes are a feature of human intelligence,
it’s necessary to goof around

Meatloaf Scooter/Toybox

In 5 years of tinkering with motorcycles, I’ve gathered many parts with no applications and 15 hours worth of CNC credits at the model shop. I decided to combine all that was left into something useful; like a rideable toybox, like  a meatloaf on fridays.
I’ve found most exciting ideas are born out of mistakes made either in sketch or while hands-on building of a plan goes awry. A computer might discard and restart after an unforseen issue but a person in a woodshop has to figure out how to make the most of their predicament.

Folding Speaker Table development & accessories

I made this desk and accessories with the intent on using it for myself in 2012.

Unlike blank-sheet hardware developments that start with massive budgets, the woodshop forces one to work in reverse by taking stock of resources available and combining them in the most innovative way possible.
I find flipping the process over on its head often results in playful solutions that are user-friendly and reliable.

I use this desk to this day, The legs still fold, I still listen to music on it and the lamps are now “modernized” with the help of philips hues.  I’ve quit smoking so the desktop lighter has gathered dust.
